Who Is Mark Alexander?

 Plot twist: Mark Alexander isn’t a person at all.

It’s a name I created to honor two of my favorite humans, my siblings, who have both navigated their own mental health challenges. They inspire me more than they’ll probably ever know so I mixed my brother’s middle name, Mark, with my sister’s first name, Alex, and boom, Mark Alexander Clay Co was born.


When I was naming this business, I wanted it to stand for something bigger than cute earrings. I wanted it to represent love, resilience, and the belief that beauty can grow from even the messiest beginnings. Polymer clay felt like the perfect metaphor for that. It starts out as this soft, shapeless blob, but when you add love, patience, and a sprinkle of chaos, it transforms into something totally unique and beautiful. I like to think we get to do the same thing with our lives, shape them into something extraordinary, even if the starting point isn’t glamorous.

MAClayCo is rooted in that belief, and every piece I make carries a little bit of that story with it. Thank you for being here, for loving this brand, and for letting my heart and my family be part of it. 💕✨
